On establishing operations
in the East Bay Area of Northern California in 1979, Mobile Modular
quickly moved to form a presence in Southern California and in 1980
began operations there. To expand the Company's footprint and
augment existing equipment two key modular fleet acquisitions were
made in 1982 in California and Texas. |

In 1984, after changing
the name to McGrath RentCorp the Company went public to raise
capital for investment into the electronics rental business. With
two additional fleet acquisitions for the modular business in 1986
the Company was able to again expand its footprint and add
additional capability to serve our customers. Maintaining our
position of product excellence in the markets we serve is a key
part of our legacy and in the late 1980's we introduced our
Division of the State Architect (DSA) approved classroom with the
strictest specifications in the California market. |

In 1993, 1996 and 1997 the
regional inventory centers in Pasadena, Texas; Mira Loma,
California and Livermore, California were opened. From the
Company's Pasadena, Texas inventory center we are able to serve a
broader region including Louisiana, Oklahoma and
Arkansas. |

The early years of 2000
brought plans to expand geographically through organic growth
and we designed the CampusMaker classroom for Florida education
customers. In 2004, the Company began operations in Florida and in
2008 established the regional inventory center to serve the local
region. |
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
2007 brought entry into the Mid-Atlantic
region where North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Maryland
were our first areas of service with a now expanded service
region for surrounding states of South Carolina, West Virginia,
Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Delaware and Alabama. Working with
our customers in the Mid-Atlantic region we were able to design the
ModPod space solution. |
|

|
|
|
| |
With our expanded areas of
service now in place, in 2008 we continued our plan of
growth by adding a line of portable storage containers and
ground level offices. Mobile Modular Portable Storage was incubated
in our Livermore, California facility and now operates in many of
our established inventory centers. |

While our history is
important to us, it anchors in the past and reminds us that our
core success has come from service and innovation, it is also the
foundation for our future. We're excited about what comes next. We
invite you to be a part of both our legacy and our
growth. |
